![]() I am a big proponent of change in the library -- I think it's important to rearrange, freshen things up with paint, move shelves and books, add new programs and ideas, all with the best interests of your library community at heart, of course. I personally need this kind of change in order to keep my practice fresh and focused, especially as I've just wrapped up my 13th year in the same school. This past year, one change I made was moving the location of my desk. And it made all the difference.

![]() For those of you who follow our blog regularly (thank you by the way), you know that in September my classroom went flexible. I can't take credit for the idea. My co-teacher, Hannah was dying to try it and so when my assistant principal asked if we would be interested in piloting a flexible seating classroom the answer was yes. Hannah and I did a lot of reading and research, she scoured the internet for deals and then one day we headed to IKEA.
So, take 5 minutes, look through some of the resources that have helped our ideas bubble up lately, keep counting down the days until summer, and make sure you are living and teaching each and every one of those days to its fullest.
